The Veterans' Oral History Project was created under the supervision of Dr. Gregory Zieren, Department of History at Austin Peay State University. Dr. Zieren and his students continue to collect oral histories of by means of interviews with veterans of World War II and the Korean War, as well as interviewing those non-military individuals who were on the World War II home front.
These videos were collected on a number of mediums over the last ten years, including VHS, MiniDV, and raw digital, all of which have been converted for online accessibility by Scott Shumate, Digital Services Assistant for the Austin Peay State University Woodward Library.
